Upcoming Events

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a nice vacation with their families and friends. We are back in the swing of things here in 1J. Today was the 84th day of school. The year is flying by!

Here are some upcoming events I wanted you to know about.

*The 5th grade book swap is on January 26 and 27th. Bring in your used books! 3 books = a ticket. A ticket allows you to select a new book at the book swap. Thanks to the families who have already donated books.

*This is the last week of swimming. Ms. Lucy and I were misinformed, so the January calendar is wrong--we apologize for any confusion. The last day of swimming will be on January 21st. Regular PE class will resume in the gym on January 25th.

*Elementary Spirit Days are here! Below are the dates and themes--mark them on your calendar.
January 21- Crazy Hair Day
January 28- Sports Day
February 4- Boy/Girl Switch Day
February 11- Class Choice Day (to be announced)

*There will be No School on Monday, January 24th. Teachers have a Professional Development day.

Book Swap

Message from the 5th Grade:

The time of year has come for Book Swap! You may have seen the posters!

When: January 26 and 27 (Wednesday and Thursday)

What: You can bring in your used books to swap (3 books gets you a free book) OR 5 zl a book. This year we will be including PUZZLES! So exchange your old puzzle for a new one to wile away those winter blues. This is an excellent time to CLEAN out those book shelves!

HOW: Bring in your books and we will collect them. If you are an Elementary School Classroom Teacher then an adorable 5th grade student will be stopping by your classroom starting tomorrow to check if you have books (they will bring tickets).

Why? For the Warsaw Hospice!
